Auction Winners
Eric's story
Eric from London won a Playstation 3 for £6.6 on Yobido.com. Here he's telling us his story:

I received my PS3 last Thursday. Up to the last minute I couldn't believe that I had really won a PS3 for a mere 10 £. That sounded too good to be true.

I had heard from the web site from a friend, already bidding. I was very reticent at trying. So many stories of scam are floating around on the net. But in the end I gave it a try, after all the first few bids are free, so no worries, there is no risks. And the price on auction were very tempting.

I tried to understand how the bidding system works, and most importantly, how other people are bidding ... everyone seems to have their how habits. The rest is being able to anticipate, have nerves of steel, and be stubborn :-)  ... very fun, addictive, and rewarding.

I had been looking at this PS3 in the auction for some time, then I went for it, I was determine to win it. I could nt belive I had won, when I saw the "Auction had ended" and I was the last bidder. I was thrilled.

I'm looking forward to the hours of pure fun with this amazing next gen game console. It is really a monster gaming platform and thanks to Yobido, it is now mine :-) Thank you very much for that. It works, it really works.

I wish all the best to Yobido.com web site, I m very curious to see what's in store for the next months. Maybe some exotic week end city trip, concert tickets, vouchers for music or DVD's  ?? Who knows ...

Laura goes shopping

Laura from Benllech has won bid packs, two sets of Sainsburys vouchers already, and today (13-Mar) she also won a Nintendo Wii.

We asked her a few questions after her success story.

TP. How did you find Yobido.com?
Laura: A banner advert on gumtree.com that I accidentaly clicked lol

TP: What was your first feeling about Yobido.com?

Laura: I thought it must have been a scam because everything seemed to good to be true, but once I had recieved my vouchers and saw the other testomonials, I knew it was real.

TP How do you like the penny auction concept?

Laura: I think its great because you can pick up a great bargain lol not much more can be said on that one

TP Why did you aim for the vouchers?

Laura: Because it was a good deal, you should put ASDA vouchers up pretty please :) :P, or Matalan and argos vouchers :)

TP. Do you have a special strategy?

Laura: Use agent bids! Or if you're using manual, don't take your eyes away! I missed a few items for not paying attention...

TP: What products would you like to see on Yobido.com in the future?

Laura: Wii Fit & balance board pleaseeee :P hehe and Asda vouchers :P and an iphone

Here is a picture of Laura with the vouchers.

Free bids got Jason a Wii

Jason from Castle Doningtonis one ofthe lucky Wii winners on Yobido.com. He was keen on telling the rest of the world about his great experience on the site.

TP: How did you hear about Yobido.com?

JASON: Just on Google, messing around one night, came across the site and thought I would give it a try, especially as you got 5 free bids just for joining.

TP: What was your first feeling about Yobido.com?

JASON: My initial thought was that it was a bit of a con, obviously there are similar sites and I never thought much to any of them, but it looked simple and easy to use.

TP: What was the first product that you bid for?

JASON:The Wii, I used my free bids on the Wii, put them on a bid agent, closed the site down and went off to do other things, about 2 hours later I was checking my emails when I noticed an email fromYobido.com saying I had won. I still had reservations though until it actually turned up about 3 days later. Absolutely fantastic, couldnt have asked for a better service, and to any skeptics out there......it is 100% genuine!!!

TP: What products would you like to see on Yobido in the future?

JASON: Maybe an I-phone, some PC gaming gear, SLR digital cameras....

Great site, keep it up!

Richard is successful at Yobido.com

Richard from Livingston has won several auctions on Yobido.com and we were keen

on knowing what he thinks about the site. Here are his answers to our questions.

TP: How did you hear about Yobido.com?
Richard: I stumbled across the site by accident and found it to be very
interesting and worth spending some time on and find out how it works.

TP: What was your first feeling about Yobido.com?
Richard: I thought it was a good looking site and to be honest to good to be true.

TP: What was the first product that you bid for?
Richard:I actualy got the first thingI bid on which was 50 bids so the site showed

me it worked and it was genuine.
Since my first win I have won £50 of Sainsbury vouchers and another 50 bids

TP: So we now we have a slight understanding of your bidding strategy.
What additional advice would you give to person new to Yobido.com?

Richard:Pay attention to how many people are bidding, are they bidding "live"

or by an agent. Give yourself a good spread of bids, find out what the item you

are bidding for sold for the last time and start bidding just before the price gets there.

TP: What products would you like to see on Yobido in the future?

Richard: More of the same please, and maybe some PCs and GPS systems.

James is a Guitar Hero

James won the game Guitar Hero. He was kind enough to answer a few questions about his experience with Yobido.com.

TP: How did you hear about Yobido.com?

James: Interesting new sites tend to spread quickly amongst friends online, I was told in such a way.

TP: What was your first feeling about Yobido.com?
James: A novel way to bid, as older established bidding sites have not really changed the way things wok for a while now.  It's nice to know there will not be an unreliable seller on the other end as everything is new from Yobido.com.

TP: What was the first product that you bid for?
James: I think it was a Playstation 3, ended up selling for £51.  But not to me.

TP: So we now we have a slight understanding of your bidding strategy. What additional advice would you give to person new to Yobido.com?
James: Understand first how the site operates, that you buy bids in order to potentially get expensive items for a lot less money.  A risk/reward situation that might be unfamiliar at first.  Try to establish the number of people bidding on an item and watch for a pattern, save your bids until you see people dropping out.

TP: What products would you like to see on Yobido.com in the future?

Rugged out doors GPS devices, Apple computers, and I hear rumours of Sony putting out a new PSP soon.  (Hint hint!)

We congratulate James once againwich him good luck in future auctions (Hint taken).

Laurent won a £50 voucher for £7.2

Laurent from London won a 50£ JJB sport voucher for 7.2£ on Yobido.com.

Here are his comments as we asked him a few questions on his experience.

TP: How did you hear about Yobido.com?

Laurent: I got and email from a friend, telling me about it.

TP: What was your first feeling about Yobido.com?

Laurent: I didn't get the gist of Yobido.com at once; however, after reading the "How It Works" section, I understood how it works.

TP: What was the first product that you bid for?

Laurent: If I remember correctly, my first bid was for an reflex camera Nikon D40. Then I won the JJB voucher that I received by mail three days later.

TP: So we now we have a slight understanding of your bidding strategy. What additional advice would you give to person new to Yobido.com?

Laurent: Be patient and focus your bids on one product. But having said that, I realise that I have lost some bargains by waiting too long to start bidding.

TP: What products would you like to see on Yobido.com in the future?

Laurent: An Iphone would be fun!

We congratulate Laurent once again, and promise to do our best to be able to put an Iphone up for sale soon.

William won the compact camera

William from Solihull won the very first item auction on Yobido.com, a Sony DSC-S950S Digital Camera for mere £1.4. We asked him a few questions, and you can see his answers below. Once again a big congratulations!

TP. How did you find Yobido.com?
W. Through an advert on a search engine.

TP How do you like the penny auction concept?
W. I love it! It gives you a real buzz once your in the bid. Every time it countdowns the last 10 seconds you think you're about to win.

TP Why did you aim for the camera?
W. Well I have a digital SLR camera, but I really wanted a point and shoot camera for portability - so I bid on this and won!

TP. Do you have a special strategy?
W. Observe others tactics and set a limit on the maximum bids you are willing to use.

William's strategy is obviously a good one since he's won a few more items after this success. We are sure more will follow.

Carl won the camera from Nikon
Carl from London was one of the first winners on Yobido.com. He won a brand new Digital SLR camera from Nikon for an incredible £6.8.

We got in touch with him to congratulate and ask a few questions.
TP. How did you find Yobido.com?
C. Through a friend of mine.

TP How do you like the penny auction concept?
C. I like the tactical element. Judging when the end of the auction is near.

TP Why did aim for the Camera?
C. I'm going on holiday to countryside soon and thought it would be great to have. I had a point and shoot camera but had wanted a 'proper' digital one for a while.

TP. Do you have a special strategy?
C. Bid last.

We on Yobido.com can only agree with the excellence of the strategy and are sure Carl will make much use of his new camera. We hope to see him back soon on the site.
